D'Appolito Configuration
An arrangement of two woofers and a tweeter such that the tweeter is placed vertically between the two woofers. A D'Appolito configuration yields a narrower high-frequency vertical dispersion that in turn reduces floor and ceiling reflections. A superior vertical symmetry is achieved compared to traditional two-way speakers. One thing to consider when building D'Appolito style systems is the increased distance between the acoustic centers of the woofers.
